...when you are having fun!
It has been a year to the day since I started up this blog!
I started it mostly as a way to keep my friends and family up to date with what I was doing because I’m terrible at keeping in touch.
But since starting, it has also become a fun way to keep my creative mind whirring. Through the lovely comments many kind people have left I have also found many like-minded folk with fun blogs of their own to visit. I have enjoyed participating in Illustration Friday, as it seems there is nothing like a deadline to make my cluttered brain focus.
I have become less shy about showing my work, which has always been a great obstacle in getting anywhere with publishers and galleries…
In short this silly blog has boosted my confidence, creativity and perhaps even my social skills and I hope we have a long life ahead of us. Hip Hip Hooray!

Also tried to comment this morning (browser crashed halfway) to say i too have fingers crossed for your most gorgeous of sewing machines. Even if the prognosis is not good I reckon it would still be worth keeping for the sheer beauty and memories. But hopefully all will be well.I’m so happy you blog, otherwise I’d never have seen your beautiful illustrations, or your friendly monsters, or had the joy of your wit and…. I’d never have met you in real life! Now that would have been sad.
