Also loved loved loved seeing the various stages of your crash illustration (beautiful as always, you know i adore your work).
I’ve always enjoyed seeing preliminary sketches as they often have such life and character, like if you see someone dancing at home when they think no-one is looking and they are all loose and carefree… and the dancing of the pencil on your page was a delight to see, as was the final piece.
I’m so glad you got through your lack of inspiration day, though I was so impressed that you made yourself do homework. I aspire to be as dedicated to my work as you are. That page of sketching you did was just brilliant.
Honestly woman, we’ve got to get some book publishers knocking at your door cause there just aren’t enough beautifully illustrated books out there these days, I’d definitely buy books illustrated by you.
The best thing is that unlike many other illustrators, you’re own writing is so witty and wonderful that you can be creating the entire book. Oh do it Daphne, do it, your talents should be enjoyed by kids and adults everywhere!
Oh you’ve no idea how much I want a Daphne book. A lot, really, a LOT.

I’m considdering an online book. Instalments may be the way forward to keep me going. Not sure…again it may be the wine.
P.s. patterns in small doses are o.k. especially if said patterns are of Japanese or Swedish origins
