Debra Cooper says:This is beautiful! I am also intrigued by your snowflakes. May I ask what paper you use and how you laminate them? I assume that you fold them in order to cut the repeating pattern – I don’t see any folds in your work. If you’d be so kind to share how you make them, I’d appreciate it. Thank you. Love your illustrations as well.

After cutting I (very carefully) put the paper inside a laminating pouch and put it through my laminator, sealing the design inside a plastic sheet. (I think most office supply shops sell laminators these days… They are great fun!) This seems to iron out any folds in the paper and makes your final design less fragile. This way you could for instance make great mobiles with your designs or just stick them to your windows for a christmassy display…
I actually used a single layer of an Ikea paper napkin for this cause it is nice and thin and easy to cut when folded. If the paper is too thin however you may find it tricky to unfold it without ripping the design. I would suggest experimenting with some scrap bits of paper you may have lying around to find a thickness that you find comfortable working with…

I hope you enjoy making these as much as I do!
